Cah-cur

Mom took me on a special field trip today to the Gwinnett County Airport! You may have seen or heard about my minor obsession with airplanes- I am accused of pointing out every single airplane I can see, hear, or imagine while playing outside and I think it must be pretty cute because, well, I'm a cute kid. Mom was SO excited today to take me on a hot date to The Flying Machine- a restaurant at the airport that has a patio RIGHT ON THE RUNWAY! Or I guess not the runway where they take off- but planes can pull right up to the patio, jump out and grab a bite right there at this restaurant.
We spent this afternoon eating french fries and watching airplanes, or "cah-curs" (Helicopters), take of and land and taxi around the runways... just over 100yards away I would guess. C O O L. And what's even cooler? I have an airplane jacket I got to wear so I looked completely legit. A cah-cur pilot even stopped as he walked by and complimented me on it!
Thanks so much to Kim for pointing out this fun spot for a Mom and her boy to have some fun together on a nice fall day! We loved it and will be back for sure :)

Happy Birthday to my new bud!

This weekend I took my parents to my new buddy Adam's birthday party! Now he's 1 like me and as far as 1st birthday parties go, this was a great one! We played outside and had a cookout and CAKE! Adam got some really great toys too- I was sure to test them out for him, make sure they were really cool and all...

Anyways, Happy Birthday Adam! We're sure glad to be your friends!

HI

Hey dudes, just thought I'd take a moment to share with you all the wisdom and knowledge I've accumulated in my short 13 (almost 14) months being alive.

First, I'll start with this list of words I can say:
  • HI! I love to say it to anyone and everyone I see. We go to the grocery store, we're not leaving until I've said HI to everyone there. Church? I sit down, take a deep breath, and proceed to say HI to every single person I can make eye contact with. And if I can't make eye contact, I just say HI until they look at me. What can I say, I'm a nice guy.
  • Dada. Enough said. My favorite person. BUT this word is a versatile one and can also be used to mean anything else I don't quite know the word for.
  • Daaada. See? It also means banana.
  • Mama. This is also a very versatile word and can mean anything from "Mama!" as in, I'm so happy to see you mama! Or, "MAMA!" as in, I'm so incredibly frustrated Mama!
  • Thseee. You know, the hairy one. Spelled L U C I E- thsee. We're bestest of buds.
  • Chi-chin. I looooove chi-chin nuggets!
  • Ess. As in Ess Mama, I'd LOVE some chi-chin!
  • Keee! These are my second favorite animals, after Thsee.
  • Steek. This means it's time for a diaper change! Mama normally asks me about this one before I say it.
  • Deek. I have learned the sign for this one too, and it helps when I'm thirsty.
  • Eee. I just LOVE pointing to my Eees and finding other people's Eees too! Mom & Dad have been trying to teach me body parts and so far Eee is my favorite!
  • Tah-tun. Take that back, Tah-Tuns are my all time favorite body part. They're so tricky, hiding under people's shirts just waiting for me to come find them and scream "Tah-Tun! Tah-Tun!!" What a blast! Oh and catch this, Dada's Tah-Tun sometimes has fuzzies for me to find!
  • Tsee. The kind outside, they're all over my front and backyards and we love to look out the window and watch squirrels climb up and down them. Tsees have green leaves.
  • Tehty. When it's time for bed, nothing makes me happier than my tehty! I snuggle with my tehty every night!
  • Khet. My blue, soft, cuddly khet is also another bedtime necessity!
Pretty impressive, eh?

Other great and important knowledge I've gathered:
  • Those dishwasher soap tablets Mom keeps under the sink can also be used like Easter Eggs to make a dishwasher soap hunt! I tried this the other day while helping mom unload the dishwasher (I hand her the silverware one at a time! What a guy.) and I think she really loved it. She was a little confused when I handed her the empty soap box, but she kept laughing as she walked around finding all the soaps I had hid. It was a totally legit Soap Hunt! I hid one in each of the chairs around the table, on top of my Khet and one under my khet, one on the couch, one in the pantry, one on my backpack, one on Mama's purse... you get the idea.
  • The vacuum is a scary guy. He gets glowing mad and then storms around making all kinds of noise, dragging Mama along with it. We're SO not friends. The best way I've come up with to handle it, is to run up and smack it when just standing there in the corner and not looking, but then run like your life depended on it (because likely, it does). It hasn't had any of its fits in a while, so I'm guessing it's working.
  • If you take the cushions off the chair, any chair, it's easier to climb up on it.
  • Don't let your Dada think he's funnier than you. When he does something funny, what you do is pout and cry and then YOU go do it and crack up hysterically! I mean, you TOTALLY came up with that on your own! And then everyone laughs really hard! What a funny guy.
Well, I think that's enough for one day. Don't want to overwhelm anyone. Baby steps. Don't worry though, I'll bestow more knowledge and wisdom on you all again someday.

Don't be jealous because I've been swimming outside with babes all day

This summer has seen me swimming, a LOT! We did a swimming playgroup and saw a lot of fun pools with a lot of fun friends that way :) I got a swimming pool for MY house from my Lowry grandparents and uncles/auntie which has proven to be a BLAST, and we discovered a fantastic splash park just a mile away from our new house!

The greatest addition to our backyard YET!

And here I am showing off the splash park! What a handsome little dude....

So Kyra and I had a hot date at the pool last Friday afternoon when to my surprise who should come in town but my other buddy, Mary Mitchell! She and her family were on the way to an action PACKED weekend at Tybee Island ;) but were able to hit the pool a bit with us before Kyra and her mommy could make it! I love this splash park and had a really good time with my friends!

("What! They SAW that??")
I was a crazy little daredevil and went running through the water- even when it was all the way up to my neck! It made for some sweet falls and mom-dives to pull me out of the water. I didn't mind one bit though, I just kept on running!
On my way to swipe some random objects from strangers' bags and throw them in the pool

It's enough to make a boy TIRED!! (And a mama happy to have a snuggly boy!)
